On the 19th of July, Santogal Ferrari, the official Ferrari dealer in
Madrid, presented the new Ferrari Roma Spider exclusively in the capital of
Spain. The presentation took place at Laureana Business Center, an idyllic
Romanesque-style setting with large landscaped spaces where a cocktail dinner
was held for the future owners of the new Ferrari Roma Spider, the evolution of
the Nuova Dolce Vita.
The new Ferrari Roma Spider is the new creation, elegant and timeless,
but also a contemporary version of the elegant and pleasure-seeking Italian
lifestyle of the 1950s and 1960s. This Spider retains the proportions, volumes
and specification of the successful Ferrari Roma concept, but what makes it so
striking is the adoption of a soft top, a solution that is a welcome return to
the Prancing Horse range in a front-engined car 54 years after the launch of
the 1969 365 GTS4.
The rear has had to be modified to accommodate the soft-top roof, which
opens and closes in just 13.5 seconds, as long as you don't exceed 60 km/h
while doing so.
The Ferrari Roma Spider's engine is the 3,855 cc twin-turbo V8 that
delivers 620 bhp at 7,500 rpm and is capable of delivering 80% of the available
torque at 1,900 rpm, thanks to a flat axle, (making it more compact), great
fluid dynamics or the twinscroll technology that reduces the interference of
exhaust waves between the cylinders.
It was a magical evening, where the guests enjoyed a special
presentation with an artistic and light show, which will be remembered for many
years to come.
